The difference
What the app asks of a bull.
Your face, checked against your photo.
A fresh in-app selfie is compared with your profile photo using an automatic face match.
Couples send every Signal.
Bulls can't browse couples. Only an active couple member can send a Signal, and you answer by echoing it, which opens the private Lounge.
The one move that's yours.
When a couple posts an anonymous casting call, nearby bulls apply with one written answer. It's the bull's only initiative, so write it to them rather than about yourself.
The inbox problem
Why most single men never hear back
A single man seeking a couple is usually one of many answering the same ad, and couples pick the man who made them feel safest, rarely the man who wrote first. On VEX, you pick the Bull role once during initiation, and from then on couples do the choosing: bulls can't browse couples, and VEX is built around that asymmetry.
The pattern is familiar from classified boards and group chats. A couple writes a careful paragraph about what they want. Most replies ignore it and open with a photo, a boast or a one-line hello. The men who answer the paragraph and follow up once, politely, are the ones who end up at dinner.
Understand who's reading. In most arrangements the woman is choosing and her husband is reading along, sometimes over her shoulder. A message that treats him as an obstacle loses both of them, and one that treats her as a prize loses her. The man who gets the reply writes to the couple as a unit and shows he understood what they said they wanted. What couples actually want from a bull is worth reading from their side before you write a word.
The role
What becoming a bull actually involves
In the lifestyle, a bull is a single man who joins a committed couple on the couple's terms. The word names a role rather than a physique or a boast, and the full definition of a bull covers how it changes from one dynamic to another.
The role shifts with the room. In a hotwife and cuckold dynamic, the husband watches and his wife leads. In a stag and vixen dynamic, he leads and she chooses, and his pride in her is the point. Treating a stag like a cuckold is one of the most common misreads in the lifestyle, and it usually ends the night early.
What couples screen for is temperament more than body: discretion, patience with their pace, the ability to hear no without negotiating, and an exit that leaves nothing behind. A man who wants a girlfriend, a rivalry with the husband or a permanent place in the marriage is looking for something else, and couples can usually tell by the second message. Get honest with yourself about what draws men to the role before you write to anyone; if you can't say it plainly, the second message will say it for you.
On VEX
How a single man gets chosen on VEX
You pick your role once, during initiation, on a screen with only two options: Couple and Bull. The Bull choice carries its own line, “I am the asset.” A bull account is one person, limited to a single bull profile, so there's one profile to get right.
Verification is a fresh in-app selfie, compared against your profile photo using an automatic face match. The eleven-question resonance test comes during initiation, and the answers lock at submission. Answer as the man you are rather than the man you think couples want. Resonance weighting shapes the order in which profiles appear in the Showroom, the tab where couples browse bull profiles, and a flattering answer can't be taken back.
This is the part most men have to get used to. Bulls cannot browse couples, so you never send a cold message. VEX prioritizes nearby, compatible bulls in the Showroom automatically, which means a couple never types a search either. Only an active couple member can send a Signal, and when one arrives you answer by echoing it. That echo is what opens the private Lounge.
The Open Call is the bull's only initiative. A couple posts one anonymous casting call, and nearby bulls apply with one written answer. Anonymous means exactly that: the couple's display name, handle, bio and photos are never returned to a bull through an open call.

The one answer
How to answer an Open Call
One written answer is all you get. Start with what they wrote. If the call asks for a slow first meeting, say you're glad to keep it to a drink. If it mentions the husband watching, show you understood that he's part of the evening, and write to him too.
Then say something true and specific that helps them decide: your pace, how you handle discretion, what you're clear you don't want. Leave out anything explicit and anything about your body. A request for photos in a first answer tells a couple everything they needed to know. Assume both of them will read it, possibly more than once, and that they're listening for a man who sounds calm. Everything else can wait for the Lounge.
If a Signal comes, answer it promptly and let them set the pace from there. If one doesn't, don't read it as a verdict on you. Couples choose for reasons you'll never see, from timing and distance to a feeling one of them couldn't name.
The long game
The man couples invite back
The first meeting is where the profile becomes a person. Arrive on time, let the couple lead the conversation, and treat the husband as the other half of the invitation rather than a chaperone. Read the etiquette couples expect from a bull before that dinner, not on the drive home.
Expect the first dinner to be an interview nobody calls one. Many couples agree on a private cue for ending the night early, and a good bull makes it easy to use: no push to move somewhere else, no stories about other couples, nothing that makes them wonder how he'd talk about this one. An evening that ends with a handshake is often an evening that went well.
Reputation follows you from there. It tracks confirmed meetups, reliability, boundary IQ, etiquette and disputes, and it only recomputes after both people answer the post-meet pulse about a real meeting. The one member-set filter on the Showroom is vouched-only, so a couple using it sees only bulls who've been vouched for.
Discretion is the whole job after the evening ends. Screen capture is blocked app-wide, and a capture attempt raises a warning, but no software stops a man from telling the story at a bar. The men couples invite back never do.
Becoming a bull is mostly becoming someone a couple can trust with their evening. The rest is patience.
Questions
What single men ask first.
Start with the role as the lifestyle uses it: a single man who joins a committed couple on the couple's terms, where the evening is theirs. On VEX, you pick the Bull role once during initiation and answer the eleven-question resonance test, and bull verification compares a fresh in-app selfie against your profile photo. From there, couples send the Signals, and an Open Call is the one place you apply first.
No, and that's deliberate. Bulls can't browse couples, and that asymmetry is the core of the product: couples browse bull profiles in the Showroom, and only an active couple member can send a Signal, so every Signal comes from them.
It's the one place a bull takes the initiative. A couple posts one anonymous casting call, nearby bulls apply with one written answer, and the couple's display name, handle, bio and photos never come back to a bull through the call. Read what they wrote twice before you answer once.
Calm, discretion and a clear sense of whose evening it is. Couples tend to pass on men who open with photos or negotiate every limit, and they remember the one who answered the question they actually asked. Respect for the husband's place matters as much as chemistry with her.
Writing to what they wrote. Pick one detail from their message, say plainly how you'd handle it, and stop there. Follow up once if things go quiet, then let it go, because pressure reads as a preview of how you'd behave in person.
That's the couple's call. Resonance question one asks how involved the husband is, and the options are Voyeur, Participant or Varies. Ask them directly what that means for their evening, and never assume his role from the dynamic's name alone.
Say so. Bisexual is one of three orientation options, alongside Straight and Bi-curious, and orientation is one of only two identity details VEX asks a bull for beyond a display name (the other is race or ethnicity). Be plain about what you're open to, because some couples want the husband involved and some want him watching.
Through meetings that actually happened. Reputation tracks confirmed meetups, reliability, boundary IQ, etiquette and disputes, and it only recomputes after both people answer the post-meet pulse about a real meeting. Vouching matters too: the one filter a couple can set on the Showroom is vouched-only.
Treat it like any first meeting with strangers: somewhere public, a plan a friend knows about, and a time the evening ends. On VEX, screen capture is blocked app-wide and a capture attempt raises a warning, but your safety in person is still yours to manage.
Be the one they choose.
